A group of boys, mostly from a school in Surrey who marched west along with David in The Dead. They wear red coats and black caps, which is how they gained their name. It is mentioned that this is their school drill uniform and David was head boy that used to lead them through their drills. They act as the main guard of the Palace and they received perks for doing the job. They carry Enfield rifles with ammunition, but it is revealed that they only have around twenty actual shots.
