St. George is the main antagonist of the Enemy series, and is a adult who has the disease, named after his St. George vest. His real name is Greg Thorne.

Before the disease outbreak

Before the outbreak, Greg was a butcher, and had owned his own shop, living with his only son Liam. He had won many awards for his meat and had friends around the country. He and Liam were fans of the Arsenal and it is their goal to reach Arsenal Stadium in the Dead.

During the outbreak

During the outbreak, Greg fled to the country with his son, and lived on a farm with his friend. They thought because they were sucluded that the disease wouldn't reach them, but they were wrong. His friend and his friends oldest son's caught the disease, and Greg was forced to shoot them with his shot gun. Little Paul, Paul's (Greg's friend) youngest son, got hysterical and Greg took him into the barn and killed him quietly. It is beleived he then used Little Paul's body for food. Afterwoods he and Liam leave for a safe place to go. And whilst travelling they find the coach packed with Brooke, Courtney and Aleshia, and take it over. They then drive away, aiming to get to Arsenal Stadium in London.

During the Enemy

As the Enemy is set a year after the Dead it is technically not in chronilogcal order.

During the Enemy Greg is simply St. George, and takes the role of the main antagonist. He first makes his appearance when Small Sam sees him at the Aresnal. He is standing in the middle of the football pitch, appearing to stare at Sam. He then makes an appearance at the battle between the Holloway Kids and the adults, leading the adults into battle.

He then attacks waitrose days on end until he finally break's free and charges Callum.

He then makes a final appearance in this book at the end, in which he leads a warband, and has a pole with Callum's head on it. He lead's the warband after the Holloway kids, with the last few lines stating, "He was St. George. This city belonged to him."

During the Dead

Greg (St. George) has a much more major role in the Dead. The dead really shows the origins of the man that would become St. George, the crusader of London, who would rid the world of kids.
